The Broken Core is an indestructible scenery object.
Three Broken Cores can be found per game world at set distances from The Core, in larger-than-normal Forlorn Metropolises. They hold special key items used for crafting the Admin Key and Phantom Spark.
All the Broken Cores are in the biome: The Sunken Sea.
The cores each have one inventory space within themselves, while a separate chest for the second item can be found elsewhere within the room.
Types

The first Broken Core is found approximately 550-600 tiles from The Core.
It contains the Shutdown Protocol, while the Channeling Gemstone is found in an Ancient Chest elsewhere in the room.

The second Broken Core is found approximately 650-700 tiles from The Core.
It contains the Anomaly Report, while the Fractured Limbs are found in an Ancient Chest elsewhere in the room.

The third and final Broken Core is found approximately 750-800 tiles from The Core.
It contains the Overwrite Transcript, while the Energy String is found in an Ancient Chest elsewhere in the room.
